The Theory Group in the Department of Computer Science at Brown University is seeking applicants for Postdoctoral Research Associates, with a focus on graph algorithms and/or theoretical machine learning. The postdoctoral researcher will have the opportunity to work closely with Professors Ellis Hershkowitz, Yu Cheng, and Eli Upfal, and to engage broadly with the theory community at Brown.
The initial appointment will be for one year starting in Fall 2026, with the possibility of renewal for one additional year by mutual agreement. Applicants must have a PhD in Computer Science or a related field (to be completed by the start date). For this position, Brown offers only the J-1 visa classification to scholars who need immigration sponsorship in order to enter the U.S. and commence lawful employment under the terms of their appointment.
